BUCKEYE LAKE – Winter arrived about five weeks early Sunday, dumping four to five inchesof snow and sending temperatures into single digits. Tuesday’s high temperature of 19 set a record for that date.
The snow and plummenting temperatures quickly brought back memories of last year’s brutal winter. There’s hope that won’t repeat this year .
T he National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s Cli mate P red ict ion Center is forecasting a drier-than-normal season for most of Ohio between December and February. For temperature, it is 50:50 whether the winter will be cooler or warmer than typical.
