A funeral service for William A. “Bill” Erwin, 66, of Hebron, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday at Brucker and Kishler Funeral Home, with Pastor Roger Decker officiating. Burial will follow in Hebron Cemetery, where military honors will be conducted by the Licking County Veterans Alliance.
Bill passed away August 27, 2012, at Licking Memorial Hospital. He was born January 31, 1946, in Zanesville, to the late Robert and Lucille (Hambel) Erwin.
Bill was a U.S. Marine serving in the Vietnam War, and a member of Church of God – God’s Acres.
He is survived by his son, Scott (Jennifer) Erwin of Newark; daughter, Teresa (Joseph) Benline of Hebron; grandchildren, Paige and Coleton Benline; brother, Robert (Beth Ann) Erwin of Blacklick, and sister, Helen (Jim) VanScyoc.
In addition to his parents; he was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Anne Erwin; son, Steven Erwin; and brothers, Charlie and Marvin Erwin.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, 985 N. 21st St. Newark.
