HEBRON – Once again American Legion Post 285’s members covered the most ground in Monday’s Memorial Day services.

Starting at 6:45 a.m., members conducted brief services in nine cemeteries before returning to Hebron at about 9:15 for a nearly 1/2 mile parade with the Lakewood Marching Lancers, the Lakewood Lancers baseball team, Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts from the Legion Hall on Water Street to the Hebron Cemetery.

Past Post Commander and Firing Squad Commander Doug Amspaugh was the featured speaker.

Memorial Day parades and ceremonies were also held in Baltimore, Millersport and Thornville.
