A funeral service, celebrating the life of Wanda Allen, 84, of Kirkersville, was held August 4, 2015, in the chapel of the Kirkersville home of Hoskinson Funeral & Cremation Service with Pastor Jeff Smith as celebrant. Wanda was laid to rest next to her husband James in the Kirkersville Cemetery.

Wanda died peacefully July 31, 2015, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born October 6, 1930, in Scott Depot WV, the daughter of the late Arthur and Blanche Watson. She devoted her life to her family as a fulltime mother. She loved to collect things, including angels.

She is survived by her loving family: daughters, Christy Snedegar (Randy) and Carolyn Weidner (Eric); grandchildren, Jenny Snedeger (Ron), Laura (Sean) Bordenkircher, Stephanie (Jarrod) Diamond, Dianna Wells (Joe), Morgan Nieser, Christa (Zach) Riley; great-grandchildren Gage Stirling, Xavier Wells, Teagan Bordenkircher, Elaine and Olivia Wells, Logan Diamond and Connor and Clair Riley; sisters, Faye Angle, Anne Patterson, Jane (Tom) Ulery and Judy (Gregory) Owens; brothers, Don (Barb) Watson and Roy Watson; many nieces and nephews; and special family friend, Casey Stirling.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James; and her brother, Glenn Watson.

The family wants to thank the staff at Generations Hospice, Jeff and Corey from Licking Memorial Hospital, Pastor Glen Gram from the Crossway Community Church and Roger Conley from Crossway Fellowship of VanAtta who were most faithful to the family.
