A memorial service for Timmis E. “Tim” Stevens of Newark was held June 16, 2014, at Brucker- Kishler Funeral Home, Newark, with Pastor Sam Harnish presiding.
Mr. Stevens, age 61, passed away June 12, 2014, at Arlington Care Center following a prolonged battle with cancer. He was born September 8, 1952, in Newark, the son of Eugene K. and Mary A. (Cotterman) Stevens. He was a 1971 graduate of Lakewood High School and attended The Ohio State University. Tim served with the U.S. Air Force in Alaska during the Vietnam War. He was an electrician with the former Rockwell Int’l and member of the IBEW. He was a former member of St. Johns Lutheran Church and attended Christ United Methodist Church. He was a member of Death Wind Black Powder Club and AA.
Tim is survived by his wife, Debra L. Stevens; sons, Spencer Stevens of Newark and Reid Stevens currently serving with the U.S. Army in Cuba; sister, Lori (Kris Keckley) Bowling of Heath; and three nieces, Kate Gromacki, Jessica (Zack) Goff and Sara Bowling. Tim’s parents preceded him in death.
