Dawes Arboretum Ohio 13, three miles north of I-70.

Hardscaping: Dry Stone Path- Saturday, May 31, 9:30 a.m. – noon. This is an excellent opportunity to learn a useful landscaping skill that can be utilized in any yard. In addition to being easy and fun to do, laying a dry stone path is an inexpensive way to add charm and personality to your landscape. We will be setting the dry stone path in the Bonsai Courtyard so space for this workshop is limited. • May 30: Senior Ramble- Infirmary Mound Park has much to offer visitors. Listen to the melodies of birds wafting through the air, embrace the freshness of a late spring morning or just enjoy the camaraderie of fellow hikers on a relaxing hike along easily navigated trails. Infirmary Mound Park, shelter #6. 10:00 a.m.

• May 30: Trees Transformed/ Nature in Wood, Art Show Opening. Our second show will feature locally renowned artist, Rosanna Moore of Alexandria. This exhibit will consist of selected sculptures carved by Ms. Moore over a span of 50+ years. The public is invited to a Friday evening kick off reception from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. The show runs through June 30. William C. Kraner Nature Center.

National Yard Sale Days – US 40. The Hebron Historical Society, Village of Hebron and Union Township community are participating in the 3rd Annual National Road Yard Sale Days in Licking County! May 31, 9 am – 4 pm The National Road Yard Sale is also celebrating Licking County’s Bicentennial! Look for Bicentennial items for sale along the road. Some folks will be hosting yard sales on Sunday, June 1 also. But Saturday is the big day in Hebron. For more information visit www.ohio40.com.

Lake Tours Buckeye Lake. See historic Buckeye Lake by boat. Take a ride on the Greater Buckeye Lake Historical Society’s Queen of the Lake II. The 50-passenger boat cruises every Saturday and Sunday at 2 p.m. from May to October. Board at the Buckeye Lake State Park’s North Shore Ramp just off Ohio 79 in the Village of Buckeye Lake. Tours are not operated during thunderstorms. Suggested donations are $10 for adults and $8 for seniors and children. Children under age 5 are free. Buckeye Lake Memorial Day Parade Buckeye Lake. The third annual Memorial Day Parade starts at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 24. The route runs down Ohio 79 from First Community Church to the North Shore Boat Ramp. Participants and spectators are invited to the North Shore boat ramp for free refreshments following the parade. The Buckeye Lake Library will only be open from 1 – 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 24 to allow staff members to participate in the parade. The library will return to its regular Saturday hours of 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 31.

Heath & Wellness Fair – Hebron. Stop by the Hebron Municipal Complex on Friday, May 30 from 8:30 a.m. to 4 :00 p.m. for a wealth of information on health and wellness issues. It’s a great opportunity to check up on your health with free tests including blood sugar and cholesterol screenings, pregnancy tests and ultrasounds, compuerized spinal analysis and nutritional evaluations. Sponsored as a public service by the Hebron Business Assocation.

Millersport Little Lakers

Poker Run Buckeye Lake. Help support youth football and cheerleading by coming out for the first annual poker run on Saturday, June 7 starting from the Beachridge Lounge in Buckeye Lake. The rain date is Saturday, June 14. Registration begins at 11 a.m. and the last bike is out at 1 p.m. Cost is $10 per person with a 50% payout to the rider with the best poker
