Friday, Dec. 17, 5 – 7 p.m. Experience The Arboretum at night! Kids and adults are welcome to attend one of our most popular programs as we hike through collections, grasslands and woodlands, Free, donations welcome, meet at the Visitors Center Deck.

Storybook Science: Signs of
Winter Tracks:
Thursday, Jan. 13, 10 a.m. & 1 p.m. Explore quality children’s literature in a natural setting. Each 45-minute session includes songs, games, crafts, creative movement, outdoor exploration and hands-on science suitable for young scientists ages 3 – 5, Free, donation welcome, meet at the Discovery Center.

Grafting the Right Way:
Saturday, Jan. 29, 8:30 a.m. – noon. The Arboretum’s propagator instructs students on the art and science of grafting to ensure future success in reproducing their own plants. Rootstock and scion wood is provided, though attendees may bring their own scion wood of woody material as well. All participants take home their own grafted material to nurture at home. $40/$30 members, meet at the Zand Education Center

South Shore Ministries in Thorn Township will have a traditional Christmas Eve Service at their Center on the corner of Ohio 13 and Township Road 391 at 8 p.m. All that will come to the birth of the King are welcome.

New Life Community and Hebron United Methodist churches have a Christmas Eve Candlelight Service at 7:30 p.m. at the Hebron United Methodist Church, 502 East Main St., Hebron.

Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church has Mass at 7:00 and 10:00 p.m. with Christmas music beginning at 6:30 and 9:30 p.m.

First Night Columbus

Up and coming artists The Band Perry is coming to the Midland Theatre Jan. 9, 8 p.m. Inheriting a cross-pollinated love of country and rock & roll from their parents, The Band Perry – siblings Kimberly, Reid, and Neil Perry – say that they bleed the bright red blood of American music.
