The Friends of the Buckeye Lake Library held a very successful 5K Walk last Saturday to raise money for the library’s operating expenses. Many lake-area businesses helped sponsor this now-annual event and their support is sincerely appreciated.

Special thanks to Buckeye Lake Eagles for use of their facilities and parking lot, Mid Ohio Golf Cart for use of a golf cart, Union Township Police for traffic control and the Hebron Fire Department for providing standby medical assistance. Baltimore historian Jim Reed has provided an interesting historical perspective at each of our walks. Thank you, Jim.
Mark your calendars for Saturday, June 22, next year for a pleasant trip back into history along the scenic Ohio Erie Canal. You’ll have fun, get some history about Ohio’s canal system, enjoy some beautiful scenery and help provide a first class library in Buckeye Lake.
Thanks again for your support.
