I wanted to thank everyone for coming out to the museum last month for our 1st Annual Ice Cream Social sponsored by the Buckeye Lake Community Celebration Committee and the Buckeye Lake Museum. Having the museum as our venue was a great decision!
Weldon’s ice cream was quickly devoured by everyone in the 98( weather! The Salvation Army brought out their Canteen for distributing our hot dogs, chips, soda & the wonderful coffee donated by Caribou Coffee. Music was performed by a Sweet Adeline duet – Jill and Diane who also brought along Carl who sang as well as played music throughout the afternoon.
Children of all ages came for the games, and a few even allowed our novice face painter to practice on them! I’m pretty sure that everyone left with a stuffed animal of some sort!
And best of all, the museum was packed with children and adults all afternoon!! The new wing addition (sporting 1 of 3 “Nana Wall’s” in the entire State of Ohio) created with the generous bequest from Norma Dixon, was admired by everyone!
