Tana LeRea Kagey




Tana LeRea Kagey, 65, of Baltimore, passed away December 12, 2016, at her residence surrounded by family. Tana was born February 27, 1951, to Bill and Louise Tucker of Baltimore.

She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Richard L. Kagey; daughter, Julie (John) Walter of Baltimore; sons, Jeff (Tracie) Kagey of Anderson, SC and Jason (Tera) Kagey of Baltimore; brother, Tim (Susan) Tucker of Carroll; eight grandchildren; and one great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Treva; and in-laws, Richard P. and Polly Kagey.

Tana was a 1969 graduate of Liberty Union High School and retired from Liberty Union Thurston Schools after 30 years of service, where she held positions as a cook, cafeteria supervisor, and transportation secretary. She was known to many for her kind heart and passion for baking (especially her home-made donuts).

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, December 16, 2016, at Trinity United Church of Christ, 105 N. High St, Baltimore, with Reverend Jill Dunlap officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Baltimore. Calling will be held at Trinity U.C.C. from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday and one hour prior to the service on Friday. Caring Cremation through the Johnson-Smith Funeral Home, Baltimore.
