Stop logs are in; lake heading to full pool!!

BUCKEYE LAKE – ODNR has put the last stop logs in the AMIL spillway in the Village of Buckeye Lake.

Friday afternoon (March 1) the lake level appeared to be about 15 inches below NORMAL full pool.  No more interim full pool!! The lake level will be at least a foot higher this season.

Buckeye Lake State Park Manager Mark Hoffhines told The Beacon this week that two feet of stop logs were installed Monday as workers were cleaning out debris from the wickets.  Another foot was to be added Thursday or Friday.  All were in place by Friday afternoon, meeting the traditional date to close the gate to start the build-up to full pool.
