Shelia Kay (Parr) Lowe

Shelia Kay (Parr) Lowe, age 68, of Hebron, passed away on Saturday, September 29, 2018, at the Selma Markowitz Care Center (operated by Hospice of Central Ohio). She was born August 27, 1950, in Newark, to the late Charles Ray and Margery Ann (Hess) Parr.

Shelia was a graduate of Newark High School. Shelia helped raise her sister and brothers after the loss of their parents. She married her husband, Albert, on January 27, 1967, and had two children. She was a housewife and cared for her children before becoming a manager at Lawson’s Store in Buckeye Lake and White Castle in Heath. She was a loyal manager to her employees and customers. Even after retirement, she still was a friendly and familiar face to many members of our community. Shelia will be most remembered for her selfless heart – always putting the needs of others before her herself. She was a very caring and giving person.

Shelia was a fantastic wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed baking and preparing family dinners for family gatherings. She was most passionate about her family, including her grandkids.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 51 years, Albert Lowe Jr.; a daughter, Tracy Lynn (Edward) Willey; a son, Albert (Holly Wells) Lowe III; three grandchildren, Dominique Willey, Zackery Willey and Paisley Ann Lowe; a sister, Linda Sue “Susie” (Destel) Bostic; three brothers, John Parr, Cecil Parr, Charles “Chuck” Parr; many nieces and nephews; and her two dogs, Rusty and Pippen.
She was preceded in death by her parents.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Memorial contributions can be made in Shelia’s name to the funeral home for funeral expenses or to The Foundation for Hospice of Central Ohio, PO Box 430 Newark, OH 43058.
