Scott Eugene Parker

A funeral service celebrating the life of Scott Eugene Parker, 24, of Newark, was held December 19, 2007, in the chapel of the Hoskinson funeral home, Kirkersville, with Pastor Bob Beyers officiating. Burial was in Fairmount Cemetery, Jacksontown.

Scott died suddenly December 14 at home.

He was born Sept. 4, 1983, in Newark, the son of Kevin Eugene Parker and Susan Marie Shade. Both of his parents survive.

He attended Lakewood schools and C-TEC in the Electronics division. Scott served honorably in the U.S. Army. He enjoyed shooting pool with his dad, listening to music and Dallas Cowboys and OSU Buckeye football. He was a former member of the Newark Eagles 387.

Scott is survived by his loving family: his father and step-mother, Georgia Parker, of Newark; his mother and her fiancée, Terry Jordan, of Dublin; his maternal grandmother, Delma Shade, of Hebron; his paternal grandparents, Robert and Carol Parker, of Buckeye Lake; his brother, Shawn, of Newark; his half-sister, Bailey Joy Parker, of Newark; his step-sisters, Annette (Daniel) Peck, and Donelle Spohn, of Newark; his aunts and uncles, Sharon (Robert) Webber, John (Dori) Shade, Bobby Parker, Paula Parker, Brenda (Pat) Parker and several cousins, along with his special friend, Kadie Six, of Newark.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, John Shade Sr., in 1969.
