Sallie Lee Friesner





Sallie Lee Friesner, 61, of Baltimore, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 9, 2008.

Sallie was born in Lancaster, on Aug. 18, 1946, to the late Arthur E. and Bette Lu Unkle Friesner. Sallie owned and operated the Body Bronze Tanning and Nail Salon for 20 years. Sallie never met a stranger and had a smile for everyone. She was a member of VFW Auxiliary No. 3761, Fairfield County Democratic Club, Olivedale Senior Citizens and Pickerington Moose Chapter No. 2180. The family wishes to extend a special thanks to her two caregivers, Marie Landis and Jeanie Taylor; Palliative Care Program at FairfieldMedical Center; a very special friend, Peggy Hutchison; and our special angel, Pastor Jill Dunlap.

Sallie is survived by a sister, Mollie Holt of Baltimore; a nephew, John (Glenda) Pridemore of Martha, Ky.; a niece, Candace (James) Pilkington of Baltimore; great-nephews, Eric Pridemore and Tyler, Joel and Allen Pilkington; a great-niece, Betty Ann Pridemore; and a great-greatnephew, Ethan Pridemore. She also is survived by many cousins and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Caring Cremation has taken place, with Johnson-Smith Funeral Home, 207 S. Main St., Baltimore, handling the arrangements.

A celebration of Sallie’s life took place on April 12, 2008, at The Trinity United Church of Christ, Baltimore.

Memorial contributions are being asked to be made to The Trinity United Church of Christ in Sallie’s name.
