A funeral service, celebrating the life of Ruth M. Hunsinger, 82, of Hebron, formerly of Westerville, will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, September 11, 2014, in the chapel of the Kirkersville home of Hoskinson
Funeral & Cremation Service, 285 E Main St., with Pastor Brian Harkness as celebrant. Ruth will be buried in a private family service on Friday morning at Kingwood Memorial Park in Lewis Center.
Ruth died peacefully September 9, 2014, in Newark, following an extended illness.
She was born in West Virginia on June 16, 1932, the daughter of the late William Clifford and Mary Catherine (Baker) Rardon. A lifelong homemaker, Ruth loved to bird watch and read books.
She is survived by her loving family: her daughter, Elizabeth (Gary) Wells of Hebron; son, Hank Hunsinger; brother, Chuck Rardon; grandchildren, Joshua (Amy) Wells, Emily (Adam) Gahm, Katy Wells, and Daniel (Shallom) Wells; along with Paula Wells and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles William Hunsinger, on June 3, 1994; and a brother, Frank; and sister, Mary L Folett.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 11, 2014, from 5 until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home, 285 E Main St. in Kirkersville.
