Ronald H. Koker


Ronald H. Koker, 69, of Marysville, and formally of Baltimore, lost his courageous battle with cancer on Sunday, November 18, 2018.

Ron was a 1967 graduate of Liberty Union High School and attended Western Kentucky University. He was a U.S. Army Vietnam War Veteran and a two Bronze Star and Purple Heart recipient. Ron was also a member of the VFW, Masonic Lodges including Shriners, and an active member of the Brutal Brothers for many years.

Ron is survived by his son, Ben Koker; daughter, Megan (Jay) Smith; precious granddaughter, Cheyenne; sisters, Roberta Barnhard of New Albany, and Joyce (Carlin) Bartschi of Arizona; nieces; nephews; and cousins including “special cousin,” Connie and George Gerken.

He is preceded in death by his father and step-mother, Henry and Betty Koker; brother-in-law, Ronald Barnhard; and “special aunt and uncle,” Theresa and Kenneth Foltz.

Funeral service was November 23, 2018, at the Johnson-Smith Funeral Home, Baltimore, officiated by Reverend Melodie Rezac.
