Robert Russell Webb




Robert Russell Webb, born August 24, 1956, in Parkersburg, WV, died April 22, 2016, at Fairfield Medical Center, Lancaster. He was a graduate of Shelby High School, Class of 1974 and United States Air Force veteran. Russ was formerly employed by The Steris Corporation

He was preceded in death by his parents, Guy Webb and Lavinia Webb; brother, Richard Jeffrey Webb; and sisters, Brenda Lee Webb, Beverly Webb Clow, and Sarah Webb Adams.

Russ is survived by sisters, Mary Studer (Dennis), Pamela Shaw, Leslie Webb Zehner, and Valerie Michael, all of Shelby, OH, and Nancy McCartney of Crescent City, CA; two brothers, Stan, Austin, TX and Kenneth (Sarah) of Grandview Heights, OH; aunt and uncle, Wanda and Gib Miller of Marietta, OH; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins

Also survived by long time friends, Jim Ferrell and Greg Smathers, as well as many other friends in the Buckeye Lake/ Thornville area.

Russ was known to many as Skrat. He was an avid sports fan with OSU sports coming first. Skrat could remember the big plays or bad calls that sometimes determine the outcome of a game. He loved the camaraderie with his buddies, ate way too many chicken wings in his day, and loved his beer and smokes.

He will be sadly missed by his family and all who knew him.

A celebration of Russ’s life will be held starting at 6 p.m. on Saturday, May 14, 2016, at The Beachcomber, 13574 Shell Beach Road, Thornville, Ohio 43076. Arrangements by Shaw- Davis Funeral Home.
