Robert E. “Bob” Yahner, 76 of Millersport, February 5, 2012, at his home.
He was born June 21, 1935, in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania to the late Russell M. and Mayme Scott Yahner.
Mr. Yahner was a 1970 graduate of Franklin University; retired from the Bureau of Employment Services for the State of Ohio; United States Navy and Air Force Veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Buckeye Lake VFW, AMVETS # 0051 of Thornport; American Legion Post #0637 of Millersport; and Buckeye Sheriff’s Association. He was a private pilot, a member of the Fairfield County Pilot’s Association and an avid hunter and fisherman.
Bob is survived by daughter, Linda (Robert) Frisby of Malta; grandchildren, Megan Frisby (Josh Toner), Debbie Frisby, Robert (Brittany) Frisby, III, Sierra Frisby, Kassinda Frisby and Mason Frisby; and greatgrandchildren, Colton Toner, Miley Toner and Sophia Danner.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Alan Robert Yahner; brother, Gerald Yahner; and his former wife, Alice Yahner.
Funeral service was February 8, 2012, at the Roberts-Winegardner Funeral Home, New Lexington, with Pastor Justin VanOrman officiating.
