Rickie Rhodes “Rick” Ridenour, 59, of Glenford, passed away at his home March 8, 2014, following a brief illness.
Rick was born on August 9, 1954, in Lancaster, the son of the late Richard and Joy Ridenour of Glenford. A 1972 graduate of Sheridan High School, Rick was self employed as a Compressed Natural Gas consultant. He, like his father, was committed to educating the public about the many positive attributes of Compressed Natural Gas, one of America’s most under-appreciated natural resources, as an alternative to dependence on foreign oil.
He is survived by his wife, Anita; daughter, Sierra (Keller) Moore; granddaughters, Kelsie and Trinity, whom he adored; brother, Mark Ridenour; and sister, Marla (John) Largent.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved boxer, Spanky.
Based on Rick’s wishes, there will be no calling hours or memorial service as he donated his body to The Ohio State University in the name of medical advancement.
Rick would like to leave you with one last thought to ponder… If you enjoyed bacon and eggs for breakfast this morning, the chicken contributed and the pig was committed. When engaging in all worth-while tasks in life, it is a necessity to be committed. Are you committed?
