A graveside funeral service, celebrating the life of Richard K. “Archie” Moore, 74, of Hebron, was held March 27, 2010, in the Kirkersville Cemetery with Pastor Carol Kirk as Celebrant.
Archie died Wednesday evening, March 24, 2010, at the Selma Markowitz Hospice Care Center in Newark, following an extended illness.
He was born August 4, 1935 in Millersport, the son of the late Walter and Helen (Kent) Moore. He was a graduate of Hebron High School, Class of 1953. He was a long-time employee of Rockwell International in Heath.
He enjoyed life, loved sports including the OSU Buckeyes and the Cleveland Browns, and took great pleasure in helping others, including his family and neighbors, especially mowing grass.
He is survived by his loving family: his wife, Charlotte; his son, Kevin (Linda) of Newark; his daughter, Kim Loar of Hebon; his brother, Walter (Marian) of Hebron; his sisters, Sarah (Richard) Peters of Grove City, and Thelma (Dean) Cline of Columbus; his grandchildren, Nathan (Jessica) Wills, Danielle (Phil) Higgins, Richelle Loar (Randy Olds), Ryan Loar and Lori (Charlie) Bline; his eight great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews; and many friends and neighbors.
The family has requested that expressions of sympathy in the form of memorial contributions be directed to the Foundation for Hospice of Central Ohio, PO Box 430, Newark, Ohio 43055.
