Reception honors Gilbert, Mason

Council President Bob Gilbert presented Mayor Clifford L. Mason with a proclamation Wednesday night, declaring Dec. 9, 2015, as Mayor Clifford L. Mason Day. The proclamation said “Mason has done an excellent job creating a place where people want to live and work. More than 50 companies have located, relocated or expanded in Hebron during his tenure, creating a great place to raise a family and run a business.” The proclamation noted that all Hebron public facilities have been renovated, purchased or constructed during the last 20 years. Mason was also lauded for his “commitment to education, wellness, culture, families and businesses,” noting his service on “many boards, committees and organizations for local government, schools and churches.” “Mayor Mason has proudly sworn in ALL current full-time employees of the Village of Hebron; and we are proud to call Mayor Mason not only “Mayor,” but friend and neighbor. He is a really hard act to follow.” Beacon photo by Charles Prince.
