Raymond P. Maxwell, 72, of rural Thornville, passed away January 13, 2015. He was born December 23, 1942, in Zanesville, to the late Beryl and Ada (Williams) Maxwell.
Raymond served in the Army and was stationed in Germany. He retired from Rockwell International and was an exceptional electrician, mechanic, farmer, and jack-of-all-trades. Raymond was generous with his time and expertise and expressed his love for the Lord Jesus Christ by helping anyone who needed assistance. He attended Lighthouse Memorial Church in Millersport, led by Pastor Bill Beard.
Left to mourn Raymond’s passing, as well as celebrate his life, is his wife of 53 years, Lucinda (Gettys) Maxwell; daughters, Melodie Roberts and Robin Maxwell; son, Rodney Maxwell; granddaughter, Alicia Tomblin; sister, Joan Moss; brother, Bill Maxwell; and special family members, Ralph Tomblin and Brenda White.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his infant brother, Bobby; his sister, Janey Maxwell; and son-in-law, Don Roberts.
Raymond’s family is grateful for the love and support from his buddies and church family during his illness.
