Buckeye Lake

• July 23: A Walnut Road woman said her roommate stole her car while she was asleep. She didn’t know her roommate’s last name.

• July 24: A Union Street resident said someone stole window screens and gutters from a house she was working on.

• July 25: A Rosebraugh Circle man said someone pried open an electrical box on his property.

• July 25: An officer observed a 7th Street man lighting firecrackers.

• July 26: A KOA campground manager requested police remove a family from the campground. The family left without incident.

• July 26: Police were called to a possible domestic violence incident at a Walnut Road residence. It was only a verbal dispute.

• July 27: The Licking County Sheriff’s Office asked Buckeye Lake police to contact a Buckeye Lake woman in reference to an alleged rape. The woman said she was the alleged victim’s grandmother. He granddaughter, she said, was at Licking Memorial Hospital.

• July 28: A Subway manager requested that two people never be allowed to return to the store.

• July 28: A Highland Ave. man reported his motorcycle stolen.

• July 29: A Buckeye Lake Estates resident reported suspicious sounds outside of her trailer. Nothing unusual was found.

• July 30: Police assisted a US Marshal serve a warrant on a Buckeye Lake man, who was not there.

Kirkersville

• July 19: A Kirkersville man was warned for excessive speed.

• July 19: A Pickerington woman was cited for going 49 mph in a 35 mph zone.

• July 19: A Nashport woman was warned for excessive speed and cited for not wearing a seatbelt.

• July 19: A Nashport man was cited for travelling 49 mph in a 35 mph zone.

• July 19: A Pataskala man was cited for going 532 mph in a 35 mph zone.

• July 19: A Pickerington man was cited for travelling 53 mph in a 35 mph zone, expired license plates and using license plates belonging to another vehicle.

• July 19: A Canton man was cited for 48 mph in a 35 mph zone and not wearing a seatbelt. He was warned for display of plates.

• July 19: A Beverly, Ohio man was cited for not wearing a seatbelt and given a warning for 48 mph in a 35 mph and for a passenger not wearing a seatbelt.

• July 19: A Lancaster man was cited for not wearing a seatbelt.

• July 19: A Lancaster man was cited for 52 mph in a 35 mph zone.

• July 19: A St. Louis man was cited for 80 mph in a 65 mph zone.

• July 19: A Marion man was cited for 51 mph in a 35 mph zone.

• July 19: A Columbus man was cited for 80 mph in a 65 mph zone.

• July 19: Ten other drivers were given warnings for excessive speed.

• July 20: A Middletown, Ohio man was cited for 49 mph in a 35 mph zone.

• July 20: A Logan man was warned for 46 mph in a 35 mph zone and not wearing a seatbelt.

• July 20: A Broadman, Ohio man was cited for 49 mph in a 35 mph zone.

• July 20: A Pataskala man was warned for 48 mph in a 35 mph zone.

• July 20: A Millersport man was warned for 46 mph in a 35 mph zone.

• July 20: A Columbus man was cited for 49 mph in a 35 mph zone and failing to stop for a traffic signal.

• July 20: A Newark woman was cited for 90 mph in a 65 mph and reckless operation.

• July 20: A Columbus man was cited for 86 mph in a 65 mph zone and not having his license on his person.

• July 20: A Findlay, Ohio man was warned for 48 mph in a 35 mph zone.

• July 20: A Thornville man and a Granville man were warned for travelling 48 mph in a 35 mph zone.

Millersport

• July 23: Police were called to an East Park Street home where a semi-tractor trailer had torn down power lines. Police said the driver knowingly left a hazardous scene with live power lines down. Police stopped the truck as it was leaving the village. The driver was cited.

• July 25: Police warned one motorist and cited another for an equipment violation. Police discovered marijuana in one vehicle and charges are pending.

• July 25: Police assisted the Fairfield County Sheriff’s Office with a reported suicide attempt on Millersport Road. Everything was OK when police arrived.

• July 26: Police were called about an intoxicated subject staggering in the roadway at Chautauqua Boulevard and 8th Ave. No one was found there.

• July 26: Police stopped a driver on Lancaster Street for travelling 39 mph in a 25 mph zone.

• July 26: Police were dispatched to a Terrace Avenue home where a man fell approximately five feet and severely injured his head. He was transported to Grant Hospital via Life Flight.

• July 17: One motorist was warned for excessive speed and another cited for going 14 mph over the limit on Lancaster Street at Lynn Avenue.

• July 27: Two Millersport officers and one Fairfield County Sheriff’s Office deputy were dispatched to a boat dock on a report of a fight involving intoxicated boaters. Police determined there was no fight, just verbal disagreements. All parties were advised to leave once sober drivers arrived to take them home.

Thornville

• June 15: Police were asked to assist the Pcrry County Sheriff’s Office with an investigation on Honeycreek Road.

• June 17: A motorist was cited for exceeding the speed limit by 17 mph.

• June 17: Police took a dog bite report on South Main Street. The injury was very minor and the dog owners were advised of the law.

• June 17: A driver was cited for 78 mph in a 50 mph zone.

• June 17: Police took a report about a barking dog on Foster Drive.

• June 18: Police took a report on a lost wallet.

• June 20: Police took a report on a two vehicle crash at the pool.

• June 20: Police cited a driver for using fictitious plates.

• June 20: A motorcycle operator was cited for left of center and warned for numerous other traffic violations on East Columbus Street.

• June 21: Police issued a citation to an East Columbus Street dog owner for allowing the dog to bark. This was a repeat offense.

• June 22: Police responded to a report of a 10-person fight in the roadway on South Church Street. Units from the Licking and Perry County Sheriffs’ Office also responded. It turned out to be a family dispute.

• June 26: A driver was cited for exceeding the speed limit by 15 mph.

• June 27: Police stopped a truck for multiple violations on South Church Street. Police discovered the driver was under suspension and initially believed he had a warrant for his arrest. The warrant report was incorrect.

• June 28: Police stopped a truck for a traffic light violation downtown. The driver initially failed to stop. Police discovered the driver was intoxicated and later tested .170 on a BAC test.

• June 28: Police charged a driver with possession of drug paraphernalia and an equipment violation. The driver was arrested on a 1995 warrant for drug possession in Hocking County. He was transported to New Straitsville where he was turned over to Hocking County authorities.

• June 29: Police cited a driver for exceeding the speed limit by 20 mph.

• June 29: Police cited a driver for exceeding the speed limit by 21 mph.

• June 30: Police cited a New Lexington driver for exceeding the speed limit by 15 mph.

• June 30: Police were dispatched to a Township Road 390B home on a report of prowlers. Police didn’t find anyone.

• June 30: Police took a report of phone harassment and then filed charges against the suspect.

• June 30: Police took a report on the theft of numerous electronics from a Thornhill resident.

• July 1: A driver was cited for exceeding the speed limit by 15 mph on East Columbus Street.

• July 1: A driver was cited for exceeding the speed limit by 21 mph.

• July 1: A driver was cited for exceeding the speed limit by 15 mph on North Main Street.

• July 1: A driver was cited for exceeding the speed limit by 20 mph.

• July 1: A Bremen man was cited for expired license plates and not wearing a seatbelt.

• July 1: Police were asked to watch for an impaired driver heading south on Ohio 13 from Licking County. Police didn’t see the vehicle.

• July 1: Police responded to a 9-1-1 hang-up call from an East Columbus Street home. A child was playing on the phone.

• July 4: Police assisted a disabled motorcyclist on Ohio 13. Police stoodby until a friend brought him some gas.

• July 4: A Thornville man was cited for exceeding the speed limit by 20 mph.
