Buckeye Lake

+ April 25: A Walnut Road woman said someone tried to set fireto the front deck of her home.

+ April 26: An officerresponded to a bar fight call. The fight was over when the officerarrived, but an injured man said the instigator of the fight was at large and armed. Police worked with Hebron Police Department to track him down. Police didn’t find a gun, but there was evidence the man was involved in the fight and he was charged with assault.

+ April 26: A West 2nd Street man reported someone stole the stereo from his truck overnight.

+ April 26: A Marsh Lane man reported that someone stole his 12′ boat from his backyard.

+ April 26: An officerstopped a Newark woman who weaved completely off the road and onto the sidewalk, then barely missed two parked cars. The woman didn’t stop immediately when the officeractivated his cruiser’s lights, but she pulled into a driveway shortly. The woman failed a breath test and was charged with OVI and driving off of the roadway.

+ April 27: Officer worked with Hebron police to apprehend a man who stole a fishing boat. The boat was recovered at the Hebron Recycling Center and the man was charged with theft.

+ April 27: A 1st Street woman reported being harrassed by her ex-boyfriend.

+ April 28: A Union Ave. woman said a juvenile exposed himself to her son.

+ April 28: An officerresponded to a complaint of loud music. The owner of the loud house promised to turn the music down, but did not. The officerreturned and issued the person a citation for disorderly conduct.

+ April 28: An officerassisted the Licking County Sheriff’s Department with domestic violence call. All was quiet when officersarrived.

+ April 28: An officer tried to stop a speeder who fled. A six mile, 85 mile per hour chase ensued, whereby the person being chased drove into a field then back to the road. The person tried to hide behind a barn, but was apprehended. The officerreported suspecting the person was under the influence of alcohol. The person was driving under suspension and charged with DUS and felony fleeing.
