Buckeye Lake

• April 8: A Grove City man said someone stole the license plate from his boat’s trailer.

• April 8: A Duke service station employee said a customer left without paying for $30.26 in gasoline.

• April 9: A driver was cited for traveling 46 miles per hour in a 35 zone on Hebron Road.

• April 10: A Walnut Road woman said someone broke into her shed and stole a child’s John Deere pull wagon.

• April 10: A Hebron woman left her purse on a table and returned to find a man rummaging through it. She said the man quickly left in a late 1990s blue Dodge Neon and she discovered two blank checks were missing from her purse.

• April 10: A Walnut Road man said someone shoved him during a verbal dispute and he wanted to press charges.

• April 12: A man was permanently barred from the Buckeye Lake Estates for fighting.

Hebron.

• March 27: Police were sent to the Hebron Road trailer park at 11:26 p.m. on a report of a possible disturbance. Police found a man there who said he was scrapping metal which was creating a lot of noise. The man told police that someone had taken his power bayonet saw between 9:30 to 10:30 p.m. Police took a report.

• March 28: Police were dispatched again to the Hebron Road trailer park this time at 1:39 a.m. on a report of several gun shots heard. Police were backed up by three Licking County Sheriff’s Office deputies. Police checked the area but didn’t find anything.

• March 28: Police made a traffic stop on East Main Street and cited a motorist for driving under suspension.

• March 29: Police were called about three suspicious vehicles in the Duke station parking lot at 3:07 p.m. The tags on the first vehicle were expired. Police waited for the driver to appear. When he showed up, he asked police to let him drive home since it was just down the road. Police told him he had to get a ride or walk. Police asked for his license which he couldn’t provide. When he provided other identification, police found an outstanding warrant for him from Fairfield County. The warrant was confirmed and he was turned over to a Fairfield County Sheriff’s Office deputy at the Pilot Truck Stop.

• March 29: A Heath man asked police for help in obtaining his vehicle title from a Hebron man. The effort was unsuccessful.

• March 29: Police assisted a Licking County Sheriff’s Office deputy investigating a phone harassment incident at a South High Street home.

• March 30: Police responded to an alarm drop at Refugee Canyon Vet Service. The building checked secure.

• March 30: A Canal Road apartment resident came to the police department to file a report on domestic violence. Police took photos of her injuries and a statement.

• March 30: Police were dispatched to a verbal domestic dispute. A 48-year-old man was upset after learning that his sixmonth old son is not his biological child. The mother of the infant returned after phoning police and the dispute resumed. Police separated the two. Police left after the disappointed father calmed down.

• March 30: A Canal Road apartment resident told police that the father of her children was coming to pick them up for visitation. She added that his license was under child support suspension. When police arrived his van was still running. He ac- knowledged that his license was suspended. He was cited for the violation. He made arrangements for a ride to take the children to his home.

• March 31: Police issued two citations for excessive speed in a 25 mph zone on Canal Road. One driver was going 40 mph and the other was doing 44 mph.

• March 31: A 4th Avenue mother said a named adult had been texting obscene messages to her 14-year-old daughter. The man told police he thought he was texting his brother-in-law. He was told to immediately stop texting that number or face charges.

• March 31: Police were called to an Eldridge Place apartment on a Life Alert alarm. The 65-yearold woman was OK. Her system had come unplugged from the wall.

• March 31: A driver was cited for going 68 mph in a 50 mph zone on Ohio 79 at US 40.

• March 31: A Canal Road apartment resident said his upstairs neighbor makes noise all night and keeps him up. Police told the neighbor to keep the noise down.

• April 1: Police on patrol at 12:08 a.m. saw a person in a black hooded sweatshirt walking down Cumberland Street near Parks Street. The 18-year-old said he just wanted to go out for a walk.

• April 1: Police assisted a LCSO deputy with a BAC test.

• April 1: A driver was cited for going 40 mph in a 25 mph zone on Canal Road. The driver was warned for expired tags.
