Buckeye Lake

• April 11: A driver was cited for going 50 in a 35 miles per hour zone on Mill Dam Road.

• April 11: A driver was cited for going 53 in a 35 miles per hour zone on Mill Dam Road.

• April 11: A driver was cited for going 53 in a 35 miles per hour zone on Walnut Road.

• April 11: A driver was cited for going 52 in a 35 miles per hour zone on Walnut Road.

• April 12: A Walnut Road woman said she noticed money missing from her bank account. When she questioned her boyfriend about it, he denied knowing anything, but then he grabbed her and slammed her head into a cabinet door. She didn’t press assault charges.

• April 13: A Walnut Road man said someone keyed (scratched) his truck’s door.

Hebron
• March 10: A bow manufacturer learned about the sale of a new bow on Ebay. The bow was traced back to Buckeye Outdoors. A company and police investigation alledgedly determined that an employee had stolen more than 100 bows or related equipment worth thousands of dollars. The investigation is continuing and charges of grand theft are pending.

• March 11: A West Main Street business owner reported that someone was using his trash container. He found a name and address on some of the trash. Police contacted the family. They apologized and retrieved the trash from the container.

• March 11: A Lakewood bus driver reported that a pickup passed her bus as it was unloading students on US 40 at Burch Street. Police called the driver who said he thought the bus was going to turn onto Ohio 79 and passed it in the four lane area. He was given a verbal warning.

• March 12: Police assisted a Licking County Sheriff’s Office deputy with a BAC test.

• March 12: Police located a juvenile in the village that had left his foster home without permission.

• March 12: Police gave a courtesy ride during a rain storm at 11:11 p.m. to a man walking to Missouri along US 40. Police took him to the TA Truckstop on Ohio 37 at I-70.

• March 13: A driver was cited for a stop sign violation on West 2nd Street at Cumberland Street.

• March 14: A motorist was cited for going 60 mph in a 50 mph zone on Ohio 79 at Ridgely Tract Road.

• March 14: A West Main Street resident reported that his neighbor’s cattle were loose. Police contacted the owner who got them under control.

• March 14: A Kroger loss prevention officer told police he saw a man open a package of batteries and place them along with some cosmetics and shoe strings in his pocket. He was detained after leaving the store. Police arrested him and took him to jail.

• March 14: A motorist was cited for going 66 mph in a 50 mph zone on Ohio 79 at South High Street.

• March 15: Police checked out

report at 2:34 a.m. of someone shining a laser light at traffic on Ohio Ohio 79 from the area of Bowman’s tire store. Police didn’t find anyone in the area.

• March 15: Police are inves tigating a fraudulent prescription that was called into the Kroger pharmacy.

• March 16: Police assisted Buckeye Lake Police with a BAC test. The suspect ultimately refused to take the test.

• March 16: A motorist was cited for going 69 mph in a 50 mph zone on Ohio 79.

• March 17: Police took a report after a driver left the Duke station without paying for $16 worth of gas.

• March 18: Police took a report after the fire department’s grass truck got stuck trying to cross a grass divider on North High Street.

• March 18: Police arrested and took to jail an individual detained for shoplifting at the Kroger store.

• March 18: A West North Street resident complained about an older male driver in an older S-10 pickup throwing trash in her yard neary every day between 5 to 6 p.m.
