Buckeye Lake

• March 11: A 1st Street woman said a man against whom she has a restraining order, was violating the restraining order and threatening her.

• March 12: A Seymour Drive woman reported that a woman whom she and her husband invited to their house stole prescription drugs.

• March 13: A driver was warned for speed on Mill Dam Road, but cited for not wearing a safety belt.

• March 13: A driver was cited for traveling 50 in a 35 miles per hour zone on Mill Dam Road.

• March 14: A driver was cited for traveling 54 in a 35 miles per hour zone on Walnut Road.

• March 14: A driver was cited for traveling 50 in a 35 miles per hour zone on Walnut Road.

• March 14: An officer spotted a group of people in the Buckeye Lake Yacht Club parking lot, who took off running when they saw the officer. The officer followed them to a North Bank house where two of the people were holding beer cans and not able to show age identification. The officer suspected others within the house were drinking underage, but no one would allow the officer inside. The officer is contacting the owner of the home.

• March 15: A Hilton Road woman reported that two juveniles left her home after curfew intending to fight an 18 year old man. The officer did not find the juveniles that night, but would contact them later.

• March 15: A Thornville woman, whose son lives with his grandmother in Buckeye Lake, reported that her son never arrived at school. The son returned to his grandmother’s house later that day.

• March 16: A driver was cited for traveling 54 in a 35 miles per hour zone on Mill Dam Road.

Hebron

• Feb. 18: A Cumberland Meadows Drive resident accidentally locked herself out of her home while she was accepting a delivery. Police contacted a family member to unlock the door.

• Feb. 18: Police checked out a complaint about solicitors on Westview Drive. It was a group of U.S. Census workers.

• Feb. 19: Police assisted the Licking County Sheriff’s Office with a traffic stop on West Main Street at 1:36 a.m. The driver failed a field sobriety test and was taken to the Hebron station for a BAC test. The driver blew a .203. He was charged with OVI and released to his father.

• Feb. 21: Police conducted a BAC test for a Licking County Sheriff’s Office deputy. The driver blew a .165 and was charged with OVI.

• Feb. 21: Police on patrol at 1:11 a.m. saw a vehicle on the side of Ohio 79 near South High Street. The driver told police her passenger was sick and she had stopped to let the passenger throw up. Police didn’t smell any alcohol.

• Feb. 21: Police assisted the Licking County Sheriff’s Office by transporting an impaired driver to the station for a BAC test. The deputy had his K-9 with him and couldn’t transport the suspect. He tested .191 and was charged with OVI.

• Feb. 21: A driver was cited for a traffic light violation at Arrowhead Boulevard and East Main Street.

• Feb. 22: Police stoodby as medics treated a Hebron Road trailer park resident for an overdose of pills. She was taken to the hospital.

• Feb. 22: A Childrens’ Service worker told police she had an appointment with a Lakewood Drive apartment resident. She heard an infant crying when she knocked on the door, but no one came to the door. Police contacted the babysitter who said he would tell the resident about the visit.

• Feb. 23: Police were dispatched at 12:53 a.m. on a report of a man down on South 6th Street. The caller knew the elderly man and helped him up and into his house to warm him up. The 88-year-old man was disoriented and Hebron Fire took him to the hospital. Police tracked down a family member so his wife could be notified.

• Feb. 24: Police attempted to notify a victim that a suspect was being released from jail. No one was there.

• Feb. 24: Police received a fax from the FBI about a man attempting to purchase a firearm at Buckeye Outdoors. The fax said the purchaser was wanted on an active Hebron warrant. Police couldn’t find any Hebron nor any Licking County warrant for the man. When police checked with Buckeye Outdoors, they learned that the man had been denied but he had been in the store several days ago.

• Feb. 24: Police stoodby while Children Services’ case workers picked up a child on a court order from a Lakewood Drive apartment.

• Feb. 24: Police were called about a fight ready to start at the Lakewood Drive apartments. Police stopped an argument between two teenagers over a girl.

• Feb. 24: A Lake Forest Drive mother complained to police about her son receiving inappropriate message on his phone and Facebook account from another student. Her son said he was talking to the other student’s girlfriend. When police arrived she told them that the student had just apologized to her and her son.
