Lakewood Performing Arts Department receives $20,000 donation

Lakewood High School Performing Arts Department students turned out Tuesday evening to say thank you for a record $20,000 gift to the department. The donation from Legend Valley, Lost Lands Music Festival, and SGE Entertainment was presented by Legend Valley co-owner, Laura Trickle. She is a Lakewood alum who was a member of the Lakewood Lancer Band. The check was given to the Band Boosters with the understanding that the performing arts teachers (band, drama and music) will jointly decide how to spend the gift. Their wish list currently includes a new soundboard for the Performing Arts Center, clavinova digital pianos, a grand piano, acoustic guitars, a new backstage headset system, and art supplies.
