Derek Dusthimer, a Lakewood graduate and Delaware County resident, won his third career lumberjack World Championship recently at the 53rd annual Webster County Woodchopping Festival in Webster Springs WV. Dusthimer threw a perfect score 15 in the Axe Throw finals to defeat around 100 competitors from 23 states and 7 countries. Derek previously won the Axe Throw in 2007 and a Underhand Chopping division in 2005. His family is hosting a Professional Lumberjack Competition on Sunday August 6 at 1:00PM at the Hartford Fair in Croton. Courtesy photo.
