Pauline V. Brothers

A graveside service for Pauline V. Brothers, 95, of Hebron, was October 4, 2008, at Newark Memorial Gardens with Pastor Tom Myers officiating.

Mrs. Brothers died Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2008, in the Heritage Unit at Newark Healthcare Centre. She was born Dec. 3, 1912, in Spencer Station to the late Howard H. and Gertrude (Cowgill) Thompson.

She and her husband operated Harold’s Dairy Bar in Granville and Dairy Isle in Newark. Family time was very important in her life.

She is survived by her daughter, Marcia (James) Green, of Hebron; son, Brent (Carma) Brothers, of Newark; brother, Howard H. Thompson Jr., of Newark; grandchildren, Lori Green, Lynn (Tyler) Holliday, Jake Green, Jaci (Jerry) Starkey and Jodi (Rod) Rollison; great-grandchildren, Lane Green, Hunter Holliday, Matthew Rollison and Andrew Rollison; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Harold Brothers, who died Aug. 1, 1979; a sister, Edna Price; and a brother, Rolland Thompson.

The family suggests memorial contributions to Hospice of Central Ohio, 2269 Cherry Valley Road SE, P.O. Box 430, Newark, OH 43058-0430.
