A graveside service for Pauline G. Rice, age 76, of Hebron, was held February 17, 2014, at Wilson Cemetery, with Pastor Anthony Payton officiating.
Mrs. Rice passed away February 12, 2014, at Flintridge Nursing Care Center (Generation Hospice). She was born December 29, 1937, in Johnstown, to the late Burton G. and Marguerite S. (Mathews) Ashbrook.
Pauline was a loving wife, mother and grandmother to her beloved family and will be sadly missed. Pauline enjoyed sewing, quilting and working in her vegetable and flower garden. She was a 1955 graduate of Johnstown High School.
She is survived by her two sons, John D. Rice of Hebron and Arthur (Beverly) Rice of Marne; brothers, Keith, Dale, Murrel and Larry Lee; sisters, Louise, Betty, Phyllis, Catherine, Nancy and Laura; grandchildren, Tim (Jaime) Rice, Kim (Jordan) Ford, Vera Rice and Mary Rice; and great-grandchildren, Isabelle Rice, Lillian Rice, Nora Rice and Annabella Rice.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William H. Rice; a son, William F. Rice; two infant daughters; a brother, Robert Ashbrook and a sister, Marilyn Rodiback.
