A funeral service, celebrating the life of Patty Jean McCullough Oyler of Alexandria, was held May 30, 2017, in the chapel of the Kirkersville home of Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service, with Pastor Kae Merold as celebrant. Burial followed in Maple Grove Cemetery, Alexandria.
Patty died unexpectedly May 24, 2017, at her home. She was born September 22, 1930, the daughter of William and Florene (Clum) McCullough. She was a graduate of Pataskala High School, Class of 1948. Patty met her future husband, Donald Oyler while attending 4-H Club Congress at The Ohio State University.
She was well known as the Northridge High School secretary for many years, but retired from Nationwide Insurance.
She was an active member of the community, serving as advisor to the United Methodist Youth Fellowship, Licking County Homemakers, Licking County Farm Bureau, Alexandria Buckeyes, Card Club and the Outville Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by her loving daughters, Bari Oyler Stith (Richard) and Krissy Oyler; her two beloved grandchildren, Amanda (Doug) Pavlowsky and Jason Stith; sister, Jo Ann Fox; extended family; and many special friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, Donald Oyler; she was preceded in death by her son, Jeff.
