Funeral Services, celebrating the life of Pastor Charlie Lee, 83, of Hebron, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 8, 2018, in the Croley Funeral Home, Williamsburg, Kentucky. Burial with full military honors will follow in the Faulkner Cemetery, Williamsburg. Local calling hours took place on September 6, 2018,. at the Kirkersville home of Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service, Kirkersville.
Charlie was born on December 21, 1934, in Whitley County, Kentucky, the son of the late George and Mattie (Lawson) Lee. He was graduate of Poplar Creek High School, Class of 1953. He served honorably for 12 years in the US Air Force, and at the Newark Air Force Station where he was employed for 20 years. He also was a Pastor and member of the Hebron Missionary Baptist Church.
He loved coaching baseball, golfing, and was the biggest University of Kentucky “Wildcats” basketball fan. He loved camping and traveling.
He is survived by his loving family: his wife of 64 years, Barbara; his children, Dwayne (Jana), Tony (Di) and Byron Lee and Sharlotte (Matthew) Snyder; his grandchildren, Josh, Samantha, Eric, Ryan, Greyson and Kylah; great grandchildren, Logan, Ryleigh, Carter, Layne and Ryder; his brothers, Carl, Rondal, Homer and George Lee; many nieces and nephews; and his dear friends, Harlis and Maryellen Mullins of California.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Fred, Walter, B.A., Henry, L.N. and Dewey Lee; and his sister, Georgia Whitt.
The family prefers memorials to Hebron Missionary Baptist Church, P.O. Box 518, Hebron, Ohio 43025. Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service, Kirkersville, is honored to care for Pastor Lee and his family.
