Pamela Marie DeVaul




A memorial service, celebrating the life of Pamela Marie DeVaul, age 61 of Hebron, will be held Saturday, August 24, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of the Kirkersville home of The Hoskinson Funeral & Cremation Service, with Pastor Jeff Smith as celebrant. Burial will follow at Jacksontown Cemetery. Pamela died peacefully on August 13, 2013, in Columbus, with her family at her side.

She was born March 28, 1952, in Newark, the daughter of the Frank and Virginia (Wolverton) DeVaul. Pamela was retired from the State of Ohio Dept. of Agriculture. She was a member of Hebron Village Council. Pamela was a former member of the Lakewood Board of Education and very active in the Hebron community. She organized the OhioReads program at Lakewood schools and through it touched many children’s lives. Her smile and laugh will be missed by many, including her friends and acquaintances around Newark and Hebron.

She is survived by her loving family: her sister, Patty (Walt) Davis; brother-in-law, Dr. Ralph Rohner; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Bob Endebrock, Joan Mayberry, Cathy Nelson and Deb Waltz; Pam also had several special friends in the Hebron and Newark area including Glenna & Mark, Vivian & Dave, Cindy P., Cindy S. LuAnn, and Rick.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Karen Rohner.

The family prefers memorials be directed to Licking County Humane Society or Lakewood Local Schools. Pam shared the gift of life through organ donation.
