Orville “Tex” R. Likens

Orville “Tex” R. Likens, 73 of Orient, former resident of Baltimore, died Monday, February 1, 2010, at Doctors Hospital. He was a truck driver for Inland Products and a Korean Conflict veteran serving in the US Marine Corps. He was a member of the Teamsters Local Union 294.

He is survived by his son, Terry L. (Orlena) Likens of Lancaster; granddaughter, Dainelle Likens of Carroll; brothers, Terry R. (Lou) Likens Dunlow, West Virginia, Jerry (Kathleen) Likens of Oceana, West Virginia, and Albert Dempsey of North Carolina; several nieces and nephews; his loving, caring girlfriend of 10 years, Jean Fuller and her children, Cris, Kim, and Beckey; his adopted son, Mark (Selena) Fuller; and his adopted grandchildren, Hanna and Jake Fuller. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie Stoughton Likens; parents, Jasper and Viola Williamson Likens; brothers and sister-in-law, Marvin, George Likens, Dotsel and Marshaleen Dempsey; and sister and brotherin law, Goldie Bentley Likens and Pat Likens. Caring Cremation has taken place by the Frank E. Smith Funeral Home and Crematory, Lancaster. Memorial gifts may be given to the American Red Cross of Fairfield County Chapter, 121 W. Mulberry St., Lancaster, Ohio 413130.
