Just like clockwork, orange barrels are back with the largest road construction season in Ohio history. Here’s what lake area motorists can expect in the greater Buckeye Lake area.
Fairfield County
• Ohio 664 in the Village of Bremen
Location: Intersection of Ohio 664 with Main Street in Bremen.
Type: Intersection Enhancement

Estimated Contract Amount: $252,708.85
The purpose of the project is to create a point of interest and beautify the intersection of Main Street and Broad Street (Ohio 664) with a variety of enhancements designed to reflect the aesthetics of the historic heritage of Bremen while providing safe and accessible walkways for pedestrian traffic.
Maintenance of Traffic: Ohio 664 will be closed for fourteen days maximum. The detour is Ohio 312 to Ohio 93 to Ohio 668 to Ohio 37
• Ohio 664
Location: Ohio 664, north of Rushville.
Type: Bridge Rehabilitation Estimated Start Date: 06- 15-10
Estimated Completion Date: 10-31-10
Estimated Contract Amount: $700,000.00
Work will be performed to upgrade a structure on Ohio 664 with a concrete deck overlay.
Maintenance of Traffic: Halfwidth construction. One lane will be maintained using temporary signals.
• US 22 to Perry County Line
Location: US 22 from Lancaster east corporation line to Perry County line Type: Twolane resurfacing with intersection relocation

Actual Contract Amount: $1,879,101.16
Asphalt concrete upgrade and related work will be performed on U.S. 22 from the East Corp. of Lancaster to the Perry County line. This includes the realignment of a portion of PER CR 72 to improve sight distance the intersection with US 22.
Maintenance of Traffic: US 22- One lane closure using flaggers. CR 72 will be closed at mile marker 3.44 for fifteen days. Local detour is Stage Coach Road, to Avalon Road, to US 22.
Licking County
• Ohio 79
Location: Village of Hebron- High Street between Ohio 79 and Enterprise Drive.
Type: Resurfacing
Contractor: Kokosing Construction Company, Inc.

Four-lane asphalt concrete resurfacing, guardrail upgrade and related work on I-70 in Licking County

Perry County
• CR 30 and CR 2

Type: 2-Lane Resurfacing

Location: City of New Lexington over Little Rush Creek
Type: Bridge Replacement

Improving 0.016 miles of Brook Street with minimal approach work. Replacing existing single span bridge over Rush Creek with a three-span continuous reinforced concrete slab bridge
Maintenance of Traffic: Brook Street between Jefferson Street and Elizabeth Street will be closed for 60 days maximum. Detour is Jefferson Street to Water Street to Jackson Street to Elizabeth Street
