JACKSONTOWN – The Ohio Department of Transportation, District Five, recently announced the start of resurfacing work on State Route 37 in Licking and Fairfield County.
Ohio 37, between Interstate 70 in Licking County and the northern Lancaster Corp. limit in Fairfield County, will be resurfaced. Work began last week with culvert replacement projects. Two-way traffic will be maintained, controlled by flaggers, in workzone areas. A nine-foot width restriction will be in effect during this project’s duration.
ODOT says motorists should expect lengthy delays, and the use of alternate routes is encouraged.
The Shelly Company of Thornville, is ODOT’s contractor for this $2.9 million project. The scheduled completion date is October 31, 2011, weather permitting.
