Memorial visitation, celebrating the life of James W Bachus, 72, of Buckeye Lake, was held August 9, 2018, in the chapel of The Hebron home of Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service.
Jim passed away August 6, 2018, in Newark following an extended illness. He was born in Logan, on May 22, 1946, the son of the late Albert and Natelie (Anderson) Bachus. He was a long haul truck driver with Reynolds Nationwide in Columbus. He was a former police officer in Buckeye Lake, Kirkersville and Thornville.
He enjoyed motorcycle riding, golfing, going out for coffee with friends and had “never met a stranger”.
He is survived by his loving family: his wife Sue, whom he married on June 30, 1972; his children, James (Maria) Bachus, Shaila (Charlie) Brown, Shari (Shawn) Beebe, and Stacy (D.J.) Faller; a brother, Jackie Bachus; his sister, Kay (Bill) Courts; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents; he was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Beth Beebe; and a sister, Diane Wiseman.
