Normagene “Tommy” Glaize, 88 years young of Millersport, passed away peacefully on Feb. 28, 2015, at Fairfield Medical Center after a brief illness. She was born on Feb. 13, 1927, to the late Fredrick and Louella Hammond Thompson. She graduated from Hebron High School in 1945 and retired from Filter Fab. Tommy was an honorary “favorite personality” at Hocking Hills Dialysis Center and will be missed by who met with her delightful quick wit.
Tommy is survived by her sons, Charles “Butch” Jr. (Dixie Jo), John, Bobby (Monique), and Dale (Brenda) Mitchell; daughters, Patty (Roger) Freeman, Barbie (Bob) Klingler, Nancy (Bill) Bevington and Susie Glaize; grandchildren, Dale, Gretchen, Zac, Chase, Christie, DeAnna and Stormy; 11 great grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; brothers, Russell and Doug; sisters, Frances, Rosie and Judy; several nieces, nephews, friends and caregivers who loved her very much.
She was preced in death by her husband, Charles; granddaughter, Toni Lynn; brothers, Dick and Dale Thompson; and parents.
A service will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 5, 2015, at the Johnson-Smith Funeral Home, Baltimore. Burial will follow the service at Millersport Cemetery.
