Mildred “Ilene” Purman, 80, of Columbus, passed away June 13, 2011, at The Ohio State University Medical Center. She was a loving mother, nanny and friend.
She was born August 20, 1930, in Waynesburg, PA to the late Samuel & Mildred Toland. She served as vice president of the Buckeye Lake Youth Association, Cub Master for Buckeye Lake Cub Scouts; and as a volunteer for Licking County Visitor Bureau.
She was preceded in death by husband, James J. Purman; sisters, Linda and Nellie; brothers, Harold, Ray, Jimmy; and an infant brother.
She is survived by son, James (Theresa) Purman of Delaware; brothers, Herman, Tom and Stan; sisters, Beatrice and Delores all of Waynesburg, PA; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Private graveside services were conducted at Muddy Creek Cemetery in Waynesville, PA.
