Mikee Anne (Soliday) Hoy




Mikee Anne (Soliday) Hoy, 77 years old of Galloway, passed away peacefully on January 27, 20111, after a courageous three year battle with cancer. Mikee passed away, surrounded by her loving family at Mount Carmel West Hospital in Columbus.

Mikee was born and raised in Thurston, and graduated from Liberty-Union-Thurston High School. Mikee retired from AT&T, Columbus, after 30 years of service. Mikee was the beloved wife of Jim for 36 years.

Mikee will forever be remembered by her treasured brother, Jack (Donna) Soliday; beloved niece and nephews, Jackie (Keith) Jackson of Collins, Ohio, Mike (Teri) Soliday of Baltimore and Mark (Darcy) Soliday of Pleasantville; stepson, Craig (Cathryn) Hoy of Columbus; and countless other friends and family whom were blessed to know her.

Mikee was a member of the Thurston United Methodist Church, Thurston. Mikee loved giving to others. She enjoyed watching sports on television with Jim, feeding the birds and wildlife from her patio and following the activities of her great nieces and nephews. Mikee was a loving wife that loved to shop. Mikee touched the lives of many people with her smile and generosity. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the wonderful staff of Mt. Carmel West Hospital Palliative Care Unit.

A celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 6, 2011, at the Thurston United Methodist Church, 2015 Main Street.
