A funeral service, celebrating the life of Michael Terry Embree, 53, of Heath, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 18, 2017, in the chapel of the Hebron home of Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service. Burial will follow in the Hebron Cemetery.
Mike died suddenly on February 11, 2017, at his home in Heath. He was born in Newark on January 28, 1964, the son of the late Roger A. and Mary Lou (Adams) Embree. He was a graduate of Lakewood High School, Class of 1983, and worked for Tamarack Farms Dairy for 16 years. He also worked for Advance Auto Parts in Heath. He enjoyed traveling, mowing grass, watching TV and visiting with his family and friends.
He is survived by his family: daughters, Marisa (Matt Slone) Embree and Lindsey (Matt Conley) Embree and their son Braxton; Joann Embree, the mother of his children; his brother, Randy (Susan) Embree; sister, Rhonda (Rick) Wells; nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews; and the Monroe family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his nephew, Quentin Wells; and Tony Hawy, who was like his second father.
Michael’s family will receive friends on Friday, February 17, 2017, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home, 108 N 7th Street in Hebron.
The family prefers that memorials be directed to the American Heart Association in his memory. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
