Michael L. Kelly




Michael L. Kelly, 71, of Baltimore, passed away on November 29, 2015, at the Pickerington Nursing and Rehab Center, surrounded by his family. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother. He was an outgoing and fun loving guy, who enjoyed making everyone in his presence laugh and smile. He retired after 40 years as a railroad engineer with Norfolk Southern Railroad Company. Mike loved sports, including NASCAR, the Blue Jackets, and The Ohio State Buckeyes.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Marilyn Kelly; children, Victoria Richardson, Karen (Dave) McGlaughlin, Joseph McCabe and Dan (Brandy) McCabe; grandchildren, Michael (Kelly), Dustin (Krystal), Jordan (Alisha), Tom, Trent, Josh, Brad, Danica, Quinn, and Alyssa; several great-grandchildren; mother, Kathryn Duddleson; siblings, Tom (Susan) Kelly, Robert (Jean) Kelly, and Vicky Kelly; and several nieces and nephews.

Mike is preceded in death by his father, Albert Kelly; son, Robert Buckman; and granddaughter, Mindee.

Funeral service was held December 3, 2015, at the Johnson- Smith Funeral Home, Baltimore. Caring Cremation(r) took place following the service. Donations can be made in Mike’s memory to the Mount Carmel Hospice at 1144 Dublin Road, Columbus, Ohio 43215 and the Parkinson Foundation at 2800 Corporate Exchange Dr., Columbus, Ohio 43231.
