A memorial service celebrating the life of Mervin G. “Merv” Bartholow, age 75, of Heath, will be held on Sunday, August 6, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the Hebron New Life United Methodist Church, with Pastor Brian Harkness officiating.
Merv was born in Lisbon, Ohio, on November 25, 1941, to the late Glen and Loretta (Farmer) Bartholow. He passed away at Licking Memorial Hospital on July 25, 2017.
Merv proudly served his country in the United States Navy, where he played the trombone in the Navy Band. Prior to retirement, he was a director of agency development for Nationwide Insurance for over 25 years. He was the founder and past president of the Buckeye Lake for Tomorrow and past president of the Buckeye Lake Area Civic Association. He was an avid motorcyclist and enjoyed spending time at Buckeye Lake with his family and friends.
Survivors include his significant other, Molly W. Hayes; children, Glen Bartholow, Tami (Rick) Baringer, Cathy (Andy) Wilson and Cheri (Harry) Williams; grandchildren, Cassidy, Stephanie, Zachary, Bailee, Ryan, Payton and Journey; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Bonnie Campbell; and his brother, Paul Bartholow.
