Maxine Lee Brumfield-Lambros

A funeral service celebrating the life of Maxine Lee BrumfieldLambros, age 77, formerly of Buckeye Lake; was held March 27, 2007, at the chapel of Hoskinson Funeral Home, Kirkersville, with Pastor Clarence Hensel of Millersport United Methodist Church officiating. Burial followed at Glen Rest Memorial Estates, Reynoldsburg.

Maxine died Friday afternoon March 23, 2007, in Columbus. She was born in Cambridge, on November 10, 1929, the daughter of Frank Shreeves and Madge Roby. She was a devoted wife and mother. She loved gardening, painting and “clowning” around, where she worked with “Flakey” the Clown. She worked in the women’s clothing department at Lazarus’ in downtown Columbus. She loved people and touched many hearts with her joy and kindness. She volunteered cooking meals for the elderly on major holidays.

She is survived by her children, Jerry (Janice) Brumfieldof Columbus, Ronnie (Katie) Brumfieldof Columbus, Brenda

Ronald) Helms of Laurelville, and Sara (Davie) James of Londonderry; four sisters, Susie Perrin of Florida, Barbara (Paul) Hiles of Millersport, Carol Burns of Grove City, and Mary Jarrell (Jerry) of South Carolina; six grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Her husbands, Jessie “Bud” Brumfield (1993) and Peter Lambros (2006) proceeded her in death as did her children, David and Connie.
