COLUMBUS – Governor John R. Kasich recently appointed Clifford L. Mason of Hebron to the State Emergency Response Commission for a term beginning August 27, 2014 and ending January 13, 2016.
Mason is Hebron’s mayor and a retired fire chief.
SERC is the administrative body that implements Chapter 3750 of the Ohio Revised Code that addresses federal and state requirements for emergency planning. Nine state agencies are represented on SERC: EPA, EMA, Attorney General’s Office, Health Department, ODOT, ODNR, State Fire Marshal; State Highway Patrol and PUCO. Mason is one of ten appointed members.
