Mary Virginia “Ginny” Guth

Mary Virginia “Ginny” Guth, 93, passed away peacefully on March 30, 2017, with her family at her side, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease. She was born February 13, 1924, in Columbus, to Thomas Bolender and Helen Ritchey.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph L. Guth; and daughter, Jeanne Jones. She is survived by her children, Judy Guth of Buckeye Lake, Joe (Cassy) Guth, Terri (Dino) Carfagna and Jeffrey (Linda Baldauf) Guth of Buckeye Lake; son-inlaw, Keith Jones; grandchildren, Shelley (Charlie) Neff, Mark (Trish) Clotts, Rick (Jill) Carfagna, Tony Carfagna (Tim Ward), Brittany Fuhr (Jamie Sparkes), Nicholas (Sarah) Jones, Michael (Ashley) Carfagna, Lauren (Kevin) Cook, Dino (Sarah) Carfagna, Lindsey Guth and Ryan (Kadie) Guth; 13 great-grandchildren; brother, Tom Bolender; sister, Joanne (Lew) Grey; sisters-in-law, Mary Jaquay, Loretta Mc- Govern and Joyce Guth; devoted friend, Carol Baldauf; and many nieces, nephews and extended family.

Ginny was a graduate of Holy Rosary High School. One of her greatest pleasures in life was spending time with her family and friends at Buckeye Lake, fishing, boating, playing cards and being together. She also enjoyed winters in Ft. Myers.

Mass of Christian Burial was held April 3, 2017, at St. Paul Catholic Church, Westerville, with Msgr. John K. Cody, Celebrant. Burial followed at St. Joseph Cemetery. A special thank you to the caring staff at Westerville Manor Care and Heartland Hospice.
