Mary K. Pistole, age 54, of Carroll, died Wednesday, November 4, 2009, at the Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital in Columbus.
Born September 22, 1955, in Columbus, she was a graduate of Groveport High School. She was employed at National Trail Raceway and was an avid drag racing enthusiast. A loving wife and mother, she also loved everyone in the racing community.
She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Rick Pistole; sons, Joe (Kim) Pistole, Lancaster, and Nick (Stephanie) Pistole, Canal Winchester; beloved grandchildren, Kaden, Taylor, Gracee and Hailey; father, Gene (Marie) Crapsey, Columbus; sister, Janine Adkins, Baltimore; nieces, Brittany (Kyle) and Jordan; stepbrother, Kenny Hall; mother-inlaw, Violet Williamson, Carroll; special friends, Dick & Jayne Miller, and Barbara Salyers; numerous other friends and her racing family. Preceded in death by her mother, Louise (Hopkins) Crapsey.
Funeral service was Nov. 7, 2009, at the Dwayne R. Spence Funderal Home, Canal Winchester, with the Rev. Steve Dunn and the Rev. Barbara Wood-Salyers officiating. Interment followed at Carroll Cemetery.
