A memorial service celebrating the life of Mary Jane Kemper, 91, of Hebron, will be held FridayNovember 27, 2009, at 7:30 p.m. in the chapel of the Hoskinson Funeral Home, Kirkersville. Private family burial will take place on Friday afternoon at Kirkersville Cemetery.
Jane died early Monday, November 23, 2009, at Chapel Grove Inn, Heath, following an extended illness. She was born in Lancaster, on October 30, 1918, the daughter of the late Darl C. and Elizabeth (Greten) Miller.
She worked as a teacher’s aide at Hebron Elementary School for 12 years, and owned Kempers Pizza in Hebron for 18 years. She has attended St. Leonards Catholic Church in Heath.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Kemper, who died in 1992; one step-son, a grandson and 10 sisters and brothers.
She is survived by her loving family: daughters, Peggy (Herb) Gant of Hebron, and Betty (Joe) Lee of Lancaster; brother, John Miller of North Carolina; four grandchildren; seven greatgrandchildren; and two greatgreat grandchildren.
