Funeral services for Mary F. Lawrence, 81, of Hebron, will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 22, 2020, in the chapel of the Kirkersville home of Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service, with Pastors Tina Black and Morgan Wickizer as celebrants. The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, February 21, 2020, at the funeral home, 285 E. Main St., Kirkersville.
Mary passed away on January 31, 2020, following an extended illness. She was born in Buckeye Lake, on September 17, 1938, the daughter of the late Lester and Viola (Weekly) Bauman. She was a graduate of Hebron High School, Class of 1956, and a longtime member of the Hebron Christian Church. A talented seamstress, she enjoyed sewing and babysitting. She had worked for the Lakewood Local Schools. She was a member of the Harbor Hills Country Club where she had a “Hole in One,” on #7 from the men’s tee. She also enjoyed playing cards and bowling. She was a member of the Hebron Fire Sirens.
She is survived by her loving family: husband, Bob Lawrence, whom she married on May 23, 1960; her daughters, Jennifer Meek, Beth Lothes and Amy Mason; her grandchildren, Chase (Mindy) Mason, Ashley Meek, Colbey (Justin) Amspaugh and Shayla and Corey Lothes; her great grandchildren, Emily, Austin, Anthony, Madi and Keegan; her brother, Cease Bauman; several nieces and nephews; good friends, Jackie Bowman, Marianne Amspaugh, Jean Hart, Carol Rhea and Karen Birtcher; and her canine companion, “Mr. Wesson.” In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her brothers, Ernest, Chumsey, Forest and John; her sister, Norma Lee Park; and her son-in-law, Greg Lothes.
